About Lokesh Mathur.
“Education should not just inform, it should transform.”
I am Lokesh Mathur, a Stand-up Educator on a mission to make students truly job ready. For me, teaching is not just about information - it’s about engagement, energy, and connection. That’s why I bring the humor and relatability of stand-up into the classroom, turning learning into an experience that students remember long after the session ends.
Growing Up
I was born and raised in Jaipur, in a middle-class family where marks were never my strongest point, but leadership and extracurricular activities always defined me. Like many students, I followed the path of engineering because it seemed the right mix for someone aiming to someday combine technology and business. I was always drawn to entrepreneurship - the idea of building something from scratch excited me. Even as a student, I dreamed of being a first-generation entrepreneur who could make a mark in education and business.
My 20s and Corporate Career
Engineering gave me a solid foundation, and I soon stepped into the corporate world, working in the software industry for almost five years. Along the way, I completed my Executive Education from IIM Calcutta and earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification - a global benchmark in leadership and execution. It was a secure path, but something felt missing. I didn’t just want to work in systems; I wanted to work with people — to solve the problems students face every day.
The Shift to Education
That’s when I made the bold choice to move into education and training. I found my unique edge - teaching not as a dry lecture, but as an experience full of humor, energy, and relatability. This is how I became a Stand-up Educator, and soon I was training students across India. Over the years, I have authored bestselling books on aptitude, trained 100,000+ students across 100+ campuses, and spoken at leading HR conclaves, education forums, and career events. Each step reinforced my belief that education needs reinvention - students don’t just need degrees, they need confidence, skills, and industry awareness.
Founding Zskillup
This belief led me to found Zskillup, an edtech + skilling company focused on bridging the broken bridge between colleges and companies. Today, through Zskillup, I’m driving large-scale initiatives with colleges, corporates, and even governments — helping students across India step into careers with clarity, skills, and confidence. My mission is simple: to empower students with the skills, mindset, and opportunities to step into the careers they deserve.
What I Love Doing
• Standing on a stage, mixing education with humor.
• Mentoring students who think they’re “not good enough” and watching them transform.
• Writing about aptitude, employability, and growth mindset.
• Speaking at events where I can inspire young people to think bigger.
Life Motto
For me, it all comes down to this: “Every student can transform - with the right mindset, the right skills, and the right guidance.”
